.gif) "Alloy Custom Products equipment is extremely reliable. If there is a problem, they're there to work through the situation, no questions asked." | | - Steve Bartlett | | | www.jackbkelley.com | | | In the Gas Utility business, particularly when the job involves working daily with Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG), it's extremely important to have equipment and facilities that are well designed, built with quality materials, impeccable workmanship and requiring low maintenance. If our equipment doesn't work as designed, we are out of service, which in our industry is not an option.
When it came to our LNG Tanker, we struggled for seven (7) years, trying to upgrade, maintain, keep safe and legal, a 1970 vintage Tanker. Deciding it was time to replace our 34 year old tanker, we went out with an RFP. While the choices are limited, we based our purchase decision on more than price alone. Having had several opportunities to off-load LNG at our Plant from an Alloy Custom Products (ACP) Tanker, we were sold. The Tanker's design, layout, operation and performance was impressive.
Once our buying decision was made, our purchase went without a glitch. The folks at ACP were outstanding! They assisted us in meeting our specific needs and made changes to their design as requested. We were invited to inspect our Tanker as it was being manufactured and were extremely impressed with the ACP team and operation. Attention to detail and the Customer is an obvious corporate priority. Our Tanker was built and delivered on time as promised in late 2004, in fact it arrived one day before the promised delivery date. To date the Tanker has met our every need and expectation.
We were so satisfied we sold our original Tanker and placed an order for a second identical unit. It was delivered in May of 2007.
When placing the order for the second Tanker, I specified I wanted the new Tanker identical to the first one in every detail. Today I have to look at the fleet vehicle number to verify which unit is which. In addition, product hold time of the new Tankers is extremely efficient. At times we will leave a filled Tanker on the Truck Unload Station for immediate response with our Mobile System. During the first week of last April our Tanker was filled and parked with 10,000 gallons of product. The boil off was automatically managed through the Plant and into our System. Knowing it would eventually all boil off we monitored the liquid level. On August 8th we recorded 2,700 gallons still on board.
Thank you ACP for two terrific Tankers.
